When the Son of the Eternal One stood before Pontius Pilate, he stated:
“I was born for this… I came into the world for this: TO BEAR WITNESS TO THE TRUTH – and ALL WHO ARE ON THE SIDE OF TRUTH hear My Voice…”
To which Pontius Pilate responded: “What is truth?” (Jn 18:37-38)
“Swords of Truth” is dedicated to exploring and sharing the truths of our Catholic faith among a society that questions whether there is such a thing as truth – and if there is, whether it is still relevant in our modern world. We all yearn to have something in which we can place our trust; we long to know with certainty that there are concrete realities on which we can rely.
“Relativism” would have us believe that there is no right or wrong, that our thoughts, experiences, and beliefs can only be understood when viewed in relation to other things such as language, culture, or biology. It is a worldview that would suggest that truth is subjective, that truth depends solely on our own personal preferences and sense of values. Yet, if we refer to the Gospel, we quickly see that relativism is in direct opposition to the teachings of Christ. For Truth exists – and we can know who He is.
Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh, is the starting point of our mission. Only in He who is Truth will every searching soul ultimately find happiness and peace – even though He, as Truth, will challenge us at times.
As you open your hearts and minds to exploring the truths of our Catholic Faith, we pray that Our Lady will envelop you deeply inside her Protective Mantle and lead you into the depths of her Son’s pierced heart, the land of inner Peace and interior Freedom.
